On November 13th and 14th, 2022, the delegation consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Nga – Director of CHERAD, Dr. Nguyen Trong An – Project Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Khai – Senior expert of the project has successfully organized the final grading, and Honoring Ceremony for junior high school students in Bach Thuan commune, Vu Thu district and An Tan commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province.
The grading procedure was executed in a transparent manner, ensuring fairness and objectivity. After a careful grading process, the judge consisting of members from CHERAD, experts from Thai Binh province’s Department of Education and Training, teachers from 3 secondary schools in 2 communes had successfully selected 03 special prizes, 07 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and nearly 200 consolation prizes from 872 submissions from more than 900 students.
The honor ceremonies were also held, with the presence of Ms. Tran Thi Bich Van – Deputy Director of Thai Binh Department of Education and Training, CHERAD leadership, leaders of Education Departments, Committee of 2 communes An Tan and Bach Thuan and all teachers and students at 3 schools. Tens of millions of dong and hundreds of gifts were awarded to students. During the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Trong An, Deputy Director of CHERAD, said: “The project has been working with a network of collaborators and hundreds of households in Bach Thuan and Vu Thu communes to build a green community model to prevent air pollution. However, the project did not forget to target students; Through organizing a painting contest “Protecting the air environment around me”, CHERAD wishes to lay a solid foundation with the goal that the students themselves will gradually be equipped with knowledge and awareness to protect the environment, especially the air environment.”
The picture drawing contest “protect the air environment around you” is part of the project’s series of activities in 2022. The project built positive typical green community model – prevention of air pollution at 4 communes of Bac Giang and Thai Binh province. Through training and communication activities, the project will gradually change the habits of households in the pilot areas, thereby building up green communities that are active in working toward protecting the environment, especially the air environment, thereby creating meaningful and practical evidence for other organizations and localities to follow.
