Today, July 8th, Center for Health Environment Research and Development (CHERAD) continues a series of activities launching the NETWORK OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROTECTION collaborators in 2 communes An Tan, Thai Thuy district and Bach Thuan, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province.
Attending the ceremony with representatives of CHERAD were project collaborators from the Veterans’ Association, Women’s Union, local health, along with representatives of CDC and Department of Health of Thai Binh province, leaders of the People’s Committees of communes, members of VTC14 and Vietnam National Assembly Television.
With the goal of providing knowledge and supporting the community to protect environmental health and prevent harmful effects of air pollution, the Center organizes a introduction ceremony for project collaborators committed to campaigning, promoting and guide the community to collect, classify and treat waste at source, recycle, reduce plastic waste, limit waste burning, and propagate and provide knowledge about the harmful effects of environmental pollution. CHERAD also gave each locality an air quality measuring – device to provide tools to warn and help the community protect themselves against the harmful effects of air pollution.
